Manny Ramirez Gets Pushy

Like most Red Sox fans, we love the “Manny Being Manny” incarnation of Manny Ramirez much better than the “my grandmother died for the 16th time, now trade me” Ramirez. His infectious smile and kindness to kids with nut allergies melts our hearts, while his offense continues to strike fear into pitchers around the league.

Listen, everybody has the urge to shove a coworker from time to time (and we got his back on the whole Youkilis thing), but this is a little ridiculous.

Ramirez had asked [Red Sox traveling secretary Jack] McCormick for 16 tickets for Saturday night’s Red Sox-Astros game, an unusually high number for day-of-game. . . .

When McCormick cautioned Ramirez that he might not be able to fulfill his request, Ramirez responded by shouting: “Just do your job!”

An argument insued and Ramirez pushed McCormick, sending him to the ground.

It’s great to be a happy-go-lucky spirit, Manny. But even happy people get the blues sometimes. Instead of taking it out on your co-workers, feel free to give us a call and talk out your frustrations. And no, we don’t need a free ticket as compensation for our services.
