Franklin Square Now Hosting Food Trucks at Night

Following examples in San Francisco, Miami, and Los Angeles, Boston will be introducing a regular evening food truck program called Boston StrEATS. Located in Franklin Square in the South End (on Washington Street between East Newton and and East Brookline streeets), Boston StreEATS will feature up eight food trucks and live music every Thursday night from 5 to 9 p.m.
“We are grateful to the City of Boston, the Boston Parks Department, the Blackstone/Franklin Square Neighborhood Association and Washington Gateway Main Streets for their cooperation in not only making this happen – but making it happen so quickly, so that we can all enjoy the food and the park while it is still warm,” says Anne-Marie Aigner, founder of Food Truck Festivals of New England, via a press release. “This has been a true team effort and we are excited to bring a great group of food trucks to one of the City’s nicest parks on a weekly basis.”
The program launches this week on August 14 with the following food trucks in participation:
- The Chubby Chickpea
- M & M BBQ Ribs
- Captain Marden’s Cod Squad
- The Pasta Pot
- Frozen Hoagies
- Trolley Dogs
- Evan’s NY Style Deli Food Truck
- The Taco Truck
