As a part of the first ever Brewdown Pop-Up, Harpoon and Ball and Buck have teamed up to brew an exclusive IPA called Double Barrel. The Brewdown Pop-Up series was created by GYK Antler, a marketing innovation company, to help celebrate the local craft beer community. Each Brewdown Pop-Up will pair one New England brand with a local craft brewery to create a one-off beer that embodies the collaborative spirit.

The first Brewdown event will be held on Thursday, September 11, at Ball and Buck’s Newbury Street retail location, where Double Barrel IPA will be unveiled. The collaboration beer will also be showcased on September 13 at American Field, an all American-made trade show produced by Ball and Buck.

The style of beer was determined by fans of both brands after which the two partners got together on August 8 to brew the IPA at Harpoon’s South Boston brewery. The pilot beer will also be available for a limited time at Harpoon’s beer hall starting on September 12.

Sept. 11, 7- 10 p.m., 144-B Newbury St., Boston; 617-262-1776, ballandbuck.com or gykantler.com/brewdown.
