Blackbird Doughnuts is Officially Open

The latest project from The Gallows team introduces the world to the sesame sriracha doughnut, among many others.

Boston’s most highly anticipated new doughnut shop has officially opened this afternoon. Blackbird Doughnuts, a sister concept from the team behind The Gallows, has recently been teasing out more and more photos of the completed space via their Instagram account, so I suppose the guerilla opening shouldn’t have come as such as a surprise.

Located at 492 Tremont Street in the strip center catty-corner to Picco, Blackbird Doughnuts will initially focus on growing their coffee menu and selling raised doughnuts such as their blackberry lavender, salted toffee, sesame sriracha, wild berry bismarck, and honey lemon pistachio.

For the past several months, owner Rebecca Roth Gullo and her team have been menu testing various doughnut creations on The Gallows brunch menu. Representatives of the shop have said that Blackbird will be open Thursday through Sunday between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., but are looking to extend those hours in the near future.  Check out the full menu below:
