Ben & Jerry’s Embraces its Inner Stoner

The new ice cream burrito will be available at all Ben & Jerry's locations on April 20.

Back in February, Ben & Jerry’s founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, expressed interest in making a cannabis-infused ice cream flavor, should they be able to clear all legal hurdles. So, it should come as no surprise that the noted deadheads, whose liberal views on weed are about as transparent as Bill Maher’s and Seth Rogen’s, have a soft spot for the most famous of countercultural holidays, 4/20.

To help celebrate April 20, also known as National Munchies Day, the duo has created an ice cream burrito they’re calling “Brrr-itos.” Essentially an ice cream injected cannoli, the Brrr-ito comes with two of your favorite scoops, a drizzle of hot fudge, and cookie crumbs, all wrapped up in a soft, chewy waffle cone.

Unfortunately you won’t be able to find the ice cream burritos in your local store’s frozen aisle, as they’re an exclusive in-store promotion at Ben & Jerry’s scoop shops. But even if you don’t find yourself craving something sweet and crunchy, not to mention in desperate need of some Visine, I’m sure you can appreciate the company’s new Apple-inspired promo ad.
