Say ‘I Love You, Mom’ With Lavender & Rose Doughnuts

For the doughnut-loving Mom in your life, here’s the perfect Mother’s Day gift: Kane’s Donuts has two special flavors this weekend, lavender and rosewater, available at its two local shops.

Sure, you could get mom a bouquet of flowers—but these treats, coated in a glaze made in-house with real flower petals, jams, preserves, and local honey from Peabody, will satisfy her sweet tooth, and tide her over until your brunch reservation.

The doughnuts are $3.25 apiece, and they’re available now at the 61-year-old Saugus shop, as well as at Kane’s Handcrafted Donuts in the Financial District. The Boston shop is closed on Sundays, so plan ahead for Mother’s Day. The floral flavors will also be for sale on Monday, May 9, while supplies last.
