We already know Alton Brown is great at Instagram, thanks to the eccentric Food Network star’s busy and fun photo journal of his travels around the country. But if you needed further proof, remember that a publisher allowed him and his art director to illustrate his latest cookbook, EveryDayCook, entirely with iPhone photos.

He’s bringing that cookbook to Copley Plaza later this month, Eater Boston reports. EveryDayCook was released in September, and Brown toured it around the country earlier this fall, but Boston was a city he skipped.

EveryDayCook includes 101 of Brown’s favorite recipes to make at home, organized by time of day. Flip through for Morning inspiration, like buttermilk lassi, and nitrous pancakes; Noon go-tos like Smoky the Meat Loaf, and “EnchiLasagna;” and Anytime favorites like the General’s fried chicken, and peach punch pops. All of director of digital ops and photographer Sarah De Heer’s iPhone photos are “suitable for framing,” and shot from above, which every foodstagrammer knows is the most appetizing angle.

“I wanted to come up with a visual language that was more immediate. I’m making a book for the Instagram crowd, you know, and so why not use that tool?” Brown told Eater ahead of the book’s publication.

If you’re a fan of the excitable, science-driven, inquisitive culinarian, don’t miss a chance to get a signed copy of his newest cookbook—and maybe even the chance to ask him for some #foodstagram tips.

Meet Alton Brown at Williams-Sonoma Copley Place, $37.19, Tuesday, November 29, 6-9 p.m., 100 Huntington Ave., Boston, 617-262-3080, Eventbrite.
