Bergamot Throwing a ‘Boston City Limits’ Barbecue Feast

It seems everyone nowadays is being seduced by Tex-Mex and the lure of the barbecue muse. Estelle’s made brisket and burnt ends a focus on their revamped menu; John Delpha took his barbecue expertise to Somerville’s Rosebud American Kitchen; Alden & Harlow’s Michael Scelfo is tinkering with breakfast tacos for his upcoming taqueria; and even Mei Mei Street Kitchen has rolled out a Thai green curry Frito pie.
Now Bergamot (and soon to be BISq) chefs Keith Pooler and Dan Bazzinotti are getting in on the action. On December 10, the two chefs are going to turn their Somerville restaurant into a Texas beer hall with a live bluegrass band, Lone Star Beer by the chilled tubful, and a menu with hot links, beef ribs, and bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers.
Bergamot’s “Boston City Limits” barbecue pop-up will start at 10 p.m. and last until the early hours of the morning. Tickets are $20 and include all the hearty Texas fare that your heart desires. The menu includes:
- ABT(Atomic Buffalo Treats)
- Bacon Wrapped Smoked Jalapeno, Stuffed With Smoked Brisket
- Hot Links
- Beef Ribs
- Hominy Slaw
- Texas Chili Frito Pie
- Texas Truffles (chocolate and bourbon)
$20 per person, 118 Beacon St., Somerville; 617-576-7700 or eventbrite.com.
