Amanda Palmer and Neil Gaiman Are Procreating
Self-proclaimed “performer, writer, giver, taker, yeller, listener, love-lover, rule-hater” (also a Lexington native and Dresden Dolls leading lady) Amanda Palmer announced on social media Wednesday that she and writer husband Neil Gaiman are expecting a baby due in September.
This infant, though, might actually be the most artistically-heightened fetus to be birthed into the world. Palmer, who is a long-time musician, a New York Times-bestselling author, and Harvard Square’s former “Eight-Foot Bride,” has been in the general art scene for ages, while Gaiman is a British graphic novelist.
She posted the above to her Instagram, a moody nude photo that is so very Amanda Palmer. The accompanied tweet made the announcement that much better, noting that she is 13 weeks along, but is “also eating all the ravioli” she wants. A very real and honest statement about the appeal of choosing carbs and cheese over disgusting things like lettuce. Who needs nutrition, amirite?
