Kane’s Donuts in Chestnut Hill and Other Can’t-Miss Breakfast Pop-Ups In March

Sure, we have a world of inspired breakfast sandwiches; drool-worthy, complimentary gruel; hot dog hash; and many more out-of-this-world breakfasts in Boston. But that doesn’t mean we don’t want for more. March is roaring in with a few fun pop-ups to put on your early morning calendar. Luckily, breakfast happens every day.

Kane’s Donuts at The Street

The iconic Saugus bakery forayed into Boston proper earlier this year with its elevated Kane’s Handcrafted Donuts in the Financial District, but the 60-year-old company isn’t done expanding. The next phase is a temporary retail location at the Street at Chestnut Hill. “We knew there was a demand outside the North Shore by those who still craved high quality artisanal donuts, made fresh everyday using local ingredients,” says Kane’s co-owner and president Paul Delios in the company announcement. “The success of our second location in downtown Boston proved just that, and now it’s time to execute our plans for additional future growth. This short-term pop up shop is the perfect opportunity for us to do so.” The 400-square foot shop will carry more than 20 different Kane’s Donuts, including honey dipped, jelly, Boston crème, and seasonal specials. Early riser? The first few dozen guests on opening day will receive complimentary mini doughnuts.

Black Magic Coffee Co. at Workbar Union

We don’t condone working for the weekend, but we know it happens sometimes. And when it does, you need a strong cup of coffee. Black Magic Coffee Co. is here for you, every Saturday, in Somerville. The Union Square farmers’ market and SoWa regular David Simon is rolling in his mobile coffee cart and his full menu of espresso drinks with beans by Case Coffee Roasters, Parlor Coffee, Passenger Coffee, and Tandem Coffee Roasters. The Breakfast Club at McGreevy’s

It’s almost March, which means it’s almost St. Patrick’s Day, which means you should eat something, because you’re about to get drunk. McGreevy’s is giving you a solid base: Allston favorite the Breakfast Club is providing its full menu there every weekend in March, Eater Boston noticed. The Boylston Street bar—co-owned by Dropkick Murphy’s frontman Ken Casey—has offered its own brunch since Day 1, but this interlude mixes it up with a vast array of omelettes, Benedicts, breakfast sandwiches, and other early morning indulgences.
