Can’t get enough of Pride Week? No fear, the festivities won’t end after the marching does. Parade-goers can continue the LGBT celebration throughout Saturday at the first annual Boston Pride Party at POP Allston.

“We’re trying to really embrace Boston pride and bring it to Allston for the first time,” says Oliver Best Market owner Justin Pomerleau. “It’s going to be a multi-experiential event. This is only the first of many.”

Shenanigans and entertainment will be nonstop during the 2-8 p.m. event. An indie marketplace with more than 30 queer-centric vendors will sell everything from fem-positive patches and pins to gender-neutral clothing. A drag fashion show at 4 p.m. will go down on a 4- by 16-foot runway built for the event, and a makeup artist will offer complimentary drag makeovers—attendees can capture their new looks at a photo-op area. A beer and cider bar will keep the 21-plus crowd quenched throughout the chaos.

Plus, some of Boston’s most notorious drag queens will compete at POP Allston’s Pride Party to win a $150 cash prize at 5 p.m. Meet Severity Stone, Sham Payne, Belle Bottoms, Miranda Wrights, Johnny Cockring and Porcha Lynne. The event will wrap with a dance party, with music courtesy of DJ Colby Drasher.

POP Allston is hoping to see about 1,000 people come through the Pride Party. “We welcome all who welcome all,” Pomerleau says.

Luckily for the wilder members of the crowd, the party doesn’t have to end when the sun goes down. A short walk away at Great Scott, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell Boston will also host a drag show and dance party from 10 p.m.–2 a.m.

$5, Saturday, June 11, 2-8 p.m., Pop Allston, 89 Brighton Ave., Allston, 857-228-8565, facebook.com.
