The Lady Gaga in the North End

A Globe piece on the tensions between the North End’s longtime residents and those participating in its trendy (and loud) nightlife, features our favorite quote from a Boston Police officer in a while. Boston police Sergeant Thomas Lema tells The Globe‘s Martine Powers that he tries to keep the peace by approaching the partiers in a friendly way. Lema says:

“I talk to them about playing the Lady Gaga and the Poker Face and the Jay-Z too loud,” Lema said. “But they’re having a good time, and they think we’re the blue meanies breaking up the party.”

That’s a lot of definite articles. [The Globe]
