Dicky Barrett and his beloved Boston band, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, will take the stage at City Hall Plaza for an exclusive performance celebrating Barrett’s birthday this weekend. And surprise! As an added and unexpected addition to the show, late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel will crash the big bash.

Barrett is the announcer for Jimmy Kimmel Live! in Los Angeles, and Kimmel arrived in town this morning to surprise his friend. Kimmel was thrown into the mix of talent scheduled to appear at “Dicky Barrett’s Birthday Bash”—part of the Phantom Gourmet BBQ & Music Festival this weekend—and will lend his clarinet talents to the Mighty Mighty Bosstones’ performance.

The Phantom Gourmet BBQ & Music Festival will host Dicky Barrett’s Birthday Bash on Saturday night. The fest runs June 20-22. Among the musical guests are Justin Timberlake tribute band The Timberfakes, Salt-N-Pepa, Barrence Whitfield & the Savages, and BearFight. A backyard, Southern-style barbecue will also take place, including a rib cook-off, a hot dog eating contest, and more.
