Six Events That Will Help You Stay Fit This Halloween

1. Halloween Happenings at Ipswich River Sanctuary

See the sanctuary after dark with these spooky October tours. Guided walks through the sanctuary’s trails promise peeks at local wildlife that come out “just for Halloween.”

3. The Boston Common Costume Dash 5K

Flaunt your favorite cape, witch hat, or cat ears in this festive 5K through the middle of the Boston Common. The first annual costume dash supports Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Massachusetts and will include contests, prizes, and after parties at nearby pubs.

4. Devil’s Chase 6.66 Miler

“Run like hell” at this humorous Halloween run in Salem. The event ends with cash prizes for the best male and female devils. Horns, tails, capes, and pitchforks are the only requirements.

5. Franklin Park Zoo’s Run Wild 5K

Come see lions, tigers, and runners at this Halloween road race through the Franklin Park Zoo, a collaboration between ZOO New England and the Race Cancer Foundation.

6. Mike’s Haunted Maze
