The Mandarin Oriental, Boston hosted an exclusive VIP Launch Party to celebrate the publication of Ben and Tonya Mezrich’s latest book together: Charlie Numbers and The Woolly Mammoth – a followup up to their last book, Charlie Numbers and the Man in the Moon. The event took place at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston on November 5. The invite only event had themed drinks such as the “Franklin Park Zoo,” the “woolly mammoth,” and the “boot footprint” sponsored by Horizon Beverage including: Casamigos, Grey Goose, Dewars, Heineken, Amstel, Imagery Wines, and Chloe Prosecco. Themed chef selection bites were presented by the Mandarin Oriental, Boston as well as a custom cake shaped like a book by new pastry chef Ryan Pike. In a ballroom full of swirling woolly mammoth lights, VIP guests enjoyed taking selfies in front of life-size cutouts of the characters in the book with a life size mammoth tusk prop, including newcomer to the Whiz Kids, Boston Public School student, Janice Netoyer. Local bookseller Brookline Booksmith was on site selling copies of Charlie Numbers.
