Koch, founder and chairman of the Boston Beer Company (and former kitchen brewer of Sam Adams), was on CBS extolling the treasure we call beer. “The craft brewing movement in the United States has spawned craft breweries in many of the traditional countries like England, or Germany, or Belgium …,” he said. “And in the rest of the world, the entrepreneurs are taking their inspiration from American craft brewers. We get German brewers coming to our brewery in Boston wanting to know, ‘How are you doing this? This is really cool! We want to do this in Germany.'” [CBS This Morning]

Microsoft, which opens its store in the Pru on Thursday, announced that customers/fans/shoppers can line up starting at 10 p.m. Wednesday, and the first 1,000 customers will get access to the Lenny Kravitz concert on Saturday at the Bank of America Pavilion, and Paul Pierce will be on-hand to show off his talents with the Microsoft Kinect. Sal DiMasi’s Long-Awaited Appeal Blames Judge for Excessive Punishment. DiMasi’s lawyers argue that he received a harsher sentence because he went to trial and publicly disagreed with the verdict. “All the harsh sentences in the world will not deter conduct state legislators think lawful. Punishing DiMasi for the transgressions of others to serve general deterrence goals is subjectively unreasonable under those circumstances,” Thomas R. Kiley and William J.
