Bobby Valentine Wishes He Could Punch a Radio Host in the Face

Red Sox Manager Bobby Valentine may have had a good night but he had a bad morning on WEEI 93.7’s “The Big Show,” losing his temper on host Glenn Ordway. Ordway sort of prodded him by asking whether Valentine had “checked out.” That’s obviously a question that only has one terribly likely answer “No,” and Valentine delivered it colorfully:

What an embarrassing thing to say. If I were there right now, I’d punch you right in the mouth. Ha, ha. How’s that sound? Is that like I checked out? What an embarrassing thing.

He actually delivered this line sounding equal parts amused and offended, though he definitely loses the amusement as the interview progresses. Such are the indignities one suffers with a team performing this badly. [WEEI]
