Tornado Warning Issued for Middlesex County
The National Weather Service has issues a tornado warning for north and central Middlesex County, effective until 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Doppler radar detected a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado moving through Littleton this afternoon at 35 miles-per-hour.
“Take cover now!” the warning reads. “Do not wait see the tornado. Go to a basement or interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building away from windows. If in a vehicle, a mobile home or outdoors, get to the closest shelter. Protect yourself from flying debris.”
Potentially affected towns and cities include Lowell, Billerica, Chelmsford, Tewksbury, Burlington, Westford, Acton, Concord, Bedford, Littleton, Ayer, Boxborough, and Carlisle.
