If you’re looking to create your own brand of brew but don’t want to turn your living room into a full-fledged barley laboratory, check out Newton Centre’s Hopsters Brew and Boards, where the owners play host to your sudsy trials and errors and walk you through the beer-making process step by step. Similar to Natick DIY craft-brew spot Barleycorn, customers select from a variety of locally grown ingredients to concoct a specialty beer specific to their taste buds. Hopsters boasts 10 in-house kettles to get the brewing done, and first-time beer makers are guided through the boiling process during a one-on-one session with a certified brew master. After two weeks, customers return to the microbrewery to pick up their beer, complete with customized labels (pictured).
