We’re in a bizarre new world where celebrity chefs like Bobby Flay pop in for cameos on Entourage, Anthony Bourdain has his likeness etched in yellow by the creators of The Simpsons, and fans of 30 Minute Meals tattoo Rachael Ray’s portrait across the canvas of their bodies. The lust for celebrity personalities has never been higher, so much so that even minor culinary stars—say a runner-up on a middling reality competition like Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen—are now splashed across MasterCards like Mickey Mouse.

Chef Jason Santos, known as much for his signature blue hair as his two restaurants, Abby Lane and Back Bay Harry’s, has recently partnered up with Card.com to bring a specially designed line of pre-paid MasterCard cards to the U.S. market. Working together with C3 Entertainment, Inc., Santos is looking to expand his brand with product endorsements, licensed products, and other marketing opportunities this year.

“It’s time to make financial services fun and I am so excited to be a part of this movement to personalize the way consumers pay,” said Jason Santos via a press release. “If you love food, Boston, or maybe my blue hair, I am proud to say I have the card for you.”

You can’t make this stuff up. So yeah, whether you want a picture in your back pocket of the guy who dared take on Bobby Flay in the Food Network’s “Beat Bobby Flay,” or you just want to show your support for the recently shuttered Blue Inc. in the Financial District, the Jason Santos credit card is out there, ready to dazzle anyone who accepts MasterCard.
