Davis Square favorite Foundry on Elm wants to help you cure the winter blues with a refreshed new menu featuring hearty bolognese, poutine, gouda mac and cheese, and all kinds of other tempting comfort food. Executed by chef de cuisine Shayne Nunes, Foundry on Elm’s updated carte du jour menu especially takes advantage of his charcuterie skills, showcasing a trio of brasserie-type offerings that included the best artisanal cheeses, house-made pâtés and rilletes, and more.
Other standout appetizers include mussels in a roasted tomato and fennel broth, Guinness braised brats with grilled apple, a poutine with hot beef gravy, and salads like roasted Chiogga beets with arugula, candied bacon, goat cheese fritters, and a Cara Cara orange vinaigrette.
For entrees, Nunes will dish out new creations like his aforementioned smoked gouda mac and cheese, as well as blackened salmon with a chorizo-sweet potato hash, steak frites, and an adobo rubbed grilled pork chop with a spicy plantain puree. New Pizzetta options from Foundry include a shrimp with chipotle alfredo sauce and an Asian barbecue pork with crispy belly and sriracha ranch.
Foundry on Elm is open Monday through Thursday from 11:3o p.m. to 1 a.m., Friday from 11:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday from 10:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.
