The Last Word

Your long day of corporate drudgery is over. Get out and enjoy the city! Here are a few ideas to get you started, lovingly picked by Boston Daily.

It’s a banner evening for all you Greens out there. Tony Maws, chef and owner of the Cragie Street Bistrot, hosts the Farm-Fresh Funky Feeding Frenzy. Everything that goes in your meal will come from no farther than seventy-five miles away, and was picked or caught in the past day. Take that, carbon footprint!

Further green fun takes place at the Museum of Science. Beat the Heat is a fundraiser for Earthwatch, a global climate change research group. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy the view from the Museum of Science without the shrieks of hyper kids reverberating around the cafeteria.

If you find it’s not easy being green, take your melancholy self to see Rufus Wainwright at Avalon. At least you’ll be listening to some inventive pop music while you’re mopey.
