Vintage Steve Carell Makes a Fetching Fabio

It's the throwback you didn't want, but absolutely need.

While Steve Carell already proved his acting abilities are top-notch with roles like John du Pont and Michael Scott, a new throwback video shows that Carell peaked in 1994 when he played Fabio in a Second City sketch.

Second City is the long-time comedy group out of Chicago that fosters young comedians, many of them alums like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Jane Lynch. In this clip, Steve Carell takes the stage as Italian model Fabio Lanzoni alongside Scott Allman for their 1994 revue Are You Now or Have You Ever Been Mellow.

Stephen Colbert provided Fabio’s voice while Carell lip-syncs his lines. It’s all so very ’90s, and so very nostalgic.
