Kenan Thompson’s ‘Big Papi’ Talks Retirement Plans on Weekend Update

Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson brought back his “Big Papi” impression to Weekend Update following David Ortiz’s recent announcement that he’d be retiring after next season.
The jovial version of the Red Sox designated hitter told host Colin Jost that he has some big plans for his time off, which includes eating a sizable lunch, promoting more sponsorships, and even creating a new dating website.
In what was clearly the highlight of Saturday’s skit, Thompson’s take on the slugger talks about his simple yet fantastic new idea that will rival Tinder. It’s called “go outside.”
“You want to meet some people? Go outside!” Thompson joked while doing his best Ortiz voice. “Look around man, everywhere is people.”
