Hall of Famer Howie

Back in April, we let you know that local media personality Howie Carr was in the running to be enshrined in the Radio Hall of Fame. The reluctant WRKO host got the news yesterday that he’d bested several other regional radio personalities and will indeed be inducted in the Hall.

Congrats, Howie.

“I thank my listeners. They did a great job voting for me,” Carr said last night. “I’m happy to win. I’m rejoining Jerry Williams.”

What are the odds Howie makes WRKO the punchline to one of the jokes during his remarks at the ceremony? We’re guessing they’re pretty good.
