Seven Guacamole Recipes to Bring to Your Next Party

From crab to corn, there's no limit as to what can be mixed with avocados.

Whether you prefer it with your chips, spread on toast, or mixed in your salad, there’s no denying that guacamole is one of the most delicious (and healthy!) ways to spruce up any meal.

Avocados are a good source of monounsaturated fat, which can help reduce bad cholesterol levels, and also contain high amounts of lutein, an antioxidant that can help protect your vision.

The next time you’re looking to add some extra flavor to your guacamole, try one of these guacamole recipes, which contain everything from crab to roasted garlic.

If Chipotle is one of your favorite spots to eat, or you just love their guacamole, you can now make the recipe at home. This recipe is simple, made with lime, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño.

2. Cajun Shrimp Guacamole

You can use fresh or frozen shrimp for this recipe, whichever you prefer. While the recipe recommends serving the shrimp on top of, or on the side of the guacamole, I’d recommend chopping it up once cooked and stirring it into the guac itself.

3. Roasted Garlic and Red Pepper Guacamole
via Savory Experiments

There’s nothing better than the smell of roasted garlic. With this recipe, you’ll roast your own then mix in red bell pepper and sour cream. You can also swap the sour cream for Greek yogurt instead.

Latex gloves come in handy when making guacamole. Use them to rub the skins off the poblano peppers, and then mix with charred corn, white onions, and cilantro for a chunky guac.
