Add a leaf to your dining table and set the kids up in the kitchen, because it’s not uncommon for holiday guest lists to exceed everyday seating arrangements and cause a shortage of one of the essential elements to any gathering: the chair.

When more seating is needed, vintage finds can be less expensive than what’s typically available at big-box stores. Older pieces can also add more character to your dining room.

Don’t worry if chairs are different from one another. Varying the seating around the table can create a warm, inviting atmosphere for your meal.
