12 Sargent Street, Cambridge
Price: $800,000
Size: 940 square feet
Bedrooms: 2
Baths: 2

When we looked at this home earlier this year, it had sold for a surprising $284,000. At the time, it sized up to be 420 square feet. Now, it’s swapped vinyl siding for stucco and cement stairs for shiny wooden ones. A recent renovation added 520 square feet to the structure and more than $500,000 to the the price tag. Yet, this charming little house still has our hearts, and remains exceptionally tiny at 940 square feet.

Situated near Porter Square, the diminutive dwelling was built in 1872. It boasts built-in bookshelves, French doors, a chef’s kitchen, and a lower-level master suite with custom closets. There’s also central air conditioning and a landscaped backyard. $851 per square foot could be tough to swallow, but we say the adorable abode is worth it.
