Paw Wash 
New England Patriots cheerleaders soap up lucky local pets to benefit the MSPCA; look for date and details to be announced by early summer.

Walk for Animals 
Lumbering, ambling, prancing — all are acceptable speeds at this marquee MSPCA fundraiser, now in its 30th year. 9/12, Boston Common and other locations;

Pet Rock Festival
An afternoon expo/festival that includes live music, a doggie water park, food, contests, and more than 200 animal organizations promoting their causes. 9/12, Quinsigamond Community College, Worcester;

Folk and Furfest
Charity walk, live music, info booths, and pet contests galore (Best Smoocher, Best Owner/Dog Look-alike), with proceeds going to the Standish Humane Society. 9/19, Wompatuck State Park, Hingham;

Animal Hall of Fame Dinner
Highlighting the successes of MSPCA-Angell, and honoring both human and animal heroes. 10/22, JFK Library & Museum, Boston;

The holiday for furry festivities, especially in the South End. A sure bet is “Divas Unleashed” at Doggie Day on Tremont Street, featuring a far-out pet parade and benefiting local charities.

Jingle Bell Walk
Starring retired racing greyhounds in holiday attire. Money goes to greyhound advocacy; date to be announced. Boston Common;
