Team Iron Man took over Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night as Robert Downey Jr. and his crew of Avengers stopped by to promote Captain America: Civil War.

The latest Marvel blockbuster recently held its world premiere in Los Angeles this week, featuring an appearance by Patriots star Danny Amendola, who was invited to the red carpet by Captain America himself, Chris Evans. The Boston-bred actor talked about how excited he was to bring a member of his favorite team to the event on Monday’s episode of Kimmel.

Downey Jr. may have given fans in New England a reason to side with Team Cap as he revealed to the late night host that wasn’t particularly impressed with his co-star and his choice of guest.

“Yeah, Patriots, whatever,” the actor scoffed when Kimmel brought up the subject.

Now we know why Iron Man and Captain America are fighting.
