Chris Evans may be Captain America, but is he cut out for American Idol?

The Boston-born star recently showed off his singing and dancing skills in a hilarious new video for W magazine.

Evans, along with fellow Marvel star Chiwetel Ejiofor and The Birth of a Nation actor Nate Parker, gave their interpretations of Prince’s hit “Diamonds and Pearls” in honor of the late musician’s 58th birthday on Tuesday. Prince passed away on April 21 from an apparent opioid overdose.

While the world is still mourning the Purple One’s death, seeing Evans get his groove on as he attempts to croon Prince’s famous tune should put a smile on people’s faces.

Since Ejiofor and Parker only did dramatic readings of “Diamonds and Pearls,” the Captain America star deserves a little credit for actually singing the song, even if he needs some work on his pipes.

“That’s it. That’s what you’re getting and that’s a wrap,” Evans jokes at the end of the video.
