Beyoncé Is Launching an Athleisure Line
Move aside, Freakum Dress. Beyoncé is launching an athleisure line, called Ivy Park.
In her classic style, the queen of music, periodic veganism, and life in all its forms dropped a video (below) to announce the release of the collection. Though sparse on details, it’s filled with shots of Beyoncé, clad in Ivy Park clothes, doing all manner of exercise—Running! Stretching! Lazing around seductively in a pool!—that will make you want to hit the gym, stat.
If the video is any indication, Ivy Park will include everything from leggings, sports bras, and tops to bodysuits, shower shoes, and kids’ clothes. Have you ever felt compelled to wear a bodysuit to the gym? Almost surely not. But if it’ll make you feel like Beyoncé, maybe you should start.
According to the collection’s website, it’ll be available in select stores and online via Topshop, Nordstrom, and Hudson’s Bay starting April 14. We can see the sell outs now.
Boston’s already home to a number of local athleisure companies, but, hey, your closet’s got room for a few more pieces, right? Right.
