The chairman of the economic development committee has voiced his criticism of the plan, but he says his committee will give it a fair hearing. [Herald]
Another thing Patrick’s plan should address: The National Labor Relations Board ordered officials at Foxwoods Casino to allow a union election. Workers say their health benefits aren’t good enough and that their pay raises don’t keep up with inflation. [Globe]

Banned in Wakefield: A Catholic school has banned the Harry Potter series because “themes of witchcraft and sorcery were inappropriate for a Catholic school.” School officials know the books are fictional, right? [Globe]
