While at work on Crane Street in Dedham on Monday, a crane attempting to move a tree toppled over.
As if overcome with familiarity, the crane indeed fell over on Crane Street. It landed on its side, damaging a shed and a garage. No one was injured.
Earlier in the day, workers cut down a tree on a nearby property. The crane flipped over while attempting to pick up the tree.
“He said without warning, the crane gave way and ended up on its side,” Dedham Fire Department Chief William Spillane told WCVB of a crew member.
The owner of the shed wasn’t home at the time of the fall.
