Every year, there’s an off-field distraction in the weeks before the Super Bowl. This year, it’s radio sports guy Alex Reimer, who used some choice words to describe Brady’s young daughter’s role on Brady’s Facebook documentary, Tom vs. Time, last week on WEEI.

The social media response has been swift and brutal, as has Brady’s response, which was to threaten to cancel his regular Monday morning spot on the station’s popular Kirk & Callahan show, saying, “It was very disappointing to hear that. My daughter or any child certainly does not deserve that.”

WEEI indicated that Reimer was suspended indefinitely on Friday, though that hasn’t slowed the attention on the story. It’s now spread to national media, with outlets ranging from Deadspin to USA Today writing up the story.

Reimer is a former contributor to bostonmagazine.com, and has been with WEEI since January of 2017.
