The MBTA’s one-year, late night pilot program has by all accounts been an overwhelming success story. In the 27 weekends of extended hours since service began on March 28, more than a half-million trips have taken between the hours of 12:30 and 3 a.m. on weekends. And this Saturday, ridership should be at an all-time high, at least on the Orange and Blue lines near the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway.

Following the successful Late Night Arts film screenings on September 26-27, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) and MBTA have decided to partner with Food Truck Festivals of New England to throw a “Late Night Arts & Eats” festival with food and retail trucks such as Roxy’s Grilled Cheese, The Fashion Truck, Lola’s Urban Vintage, and Chicken and Rice Guys. From 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. riders can take advantage of the MBTA’s late service, do some midnight shopping, and grab some after hours pub grub. Below are the participating vendors:

Food

  • Roxy’s Grilled Cheese
  • Chicken & Rice Guys
  • Tenoch
  • The Dining Car
  • Cookie Monstah

Fashion

  • The Fashion Truck
  • Secret Ships
  • Lola’s Urban Vintage
