The house in the listing photo above could probably pass for one in West Roxbury, or even the outer reaches of Dorchester, where it’d fetch upwards of $500,000. But this place is actually located an hour outside of the city in Worcester, and it’s listed for under $200,000.

The $197,900 price tag is no doubt mouthwatering for house hunters floundering in Boston’s insane real estate market. But…it’s still Worcester. Plus, the place does need a good deal of cosmetic updates. To start, this fixer-upper would need its kitchens and bathrooms gutted and renovated with all new cabinets, appliances, and fixtures.
