The Newman School
“At Newman, you’re exposed to so many cultures and academic experiences that when you graduate, you’re much more than a successful student—you’re now a global citizen who can see life through many lenses and apply that knowledge to benefit society.” – Newman Student
The Newman School is a private high school in Boston’s Back Bay, which provides students with a balance of a stimulating and challenging curriculum in a uniquely supportive and encouraging environment. Newman offers both a traditional liberal arts program and the globally recognized International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. Designed to promote an international perspective and civic mindedness, the IB Program is widely regarded as one of the most rigorous high school diploma programs and is highly respected by colleges and universities worldwide. Newman is one of only four private and 14 combined public and private high schools in Massachusetts that offer IB.
Newman’s core values are based on the motto “Heart Speaks to Heart.” Students are encouraged to achieve their full potential in a purposeful environment characterized by mutual respect and integrity. At Newman, the city becomes the classroom. Students study at the Boston Public Library, enjoy rowing crew on the Charles River, and playing soccer on the Esplanade. Visit newmanboston.org.
