There’s a lot of hubbub around the Hub about this month’s grand opening of gourmet candy boutique Sugarfina in the Prudential Shops. Newly engaged brides, take heed, for you’ll fall head over heels in love with their bridal bento boxes. And it’s just in time to pop the question to your special girls.

Available for $26 and wrapped in a beautiful satin ribbon with a hand-written note, these gift sets are perfect for “proposing” that your BFFs be in your bridal party.

With “Will you be my Bridesmaid?”, “Will you be my Maid of Honor?”, and “Will you be my Matron of Honor?” themes, the aqua slider boxes are full of celebratory champagne and pearls treats—Champagne Bears (yes they’re made with real Dom Perignon), Sugarfina Pearls, and Champagne Bubbles.

With Bostonians soon able to customize their own bento boxes with over 150 candies from around the world, Sugarfina Founder and Chief Creative Officer Rosie O’Neill offered us a little advice on also filling up the perfect candy bags for bridal showers.
“Champagne is always a crowd-pleaser for weddings, and it pairs perfectly with dark chocolate,” she says. “We recommend pairing our Champagne Bears with our Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels. Another delicious pairing is our Peach Bellini tart gummies with our Fuji Apple caramels, for a fruity and fresh combination.”

But not every coupling is as perfect as you and your to-be.

“In general, it’s best to avoid strong flavors like mint, coffee or licorice, since they don’t play well with other flavors,” she advises. And of course, avoiding nuts is a good idea, just in case anyone has a severe allergy.
