Kelly Brabants completely re-vamped the look of this one with a huge nod to her Brazilian heritage.

Kelly Brabants is at it again. The fitness instructor and entrepreneur will open her third pop-up store in the Seaport and the soft opening is this Friday. Fret no more, you’ll be able to get your hands on her signature texturized croco skin leggings and bike shorts right here in the city once again.

The pop-up, similar to her first in the Seaport, will be a part of The Current—a pop-up village on Seaport Boulevard serving as a home for a rotating line-up of businesses and retailers. After a succesful run last year in the Seaport and at her second pop-up at Legacy Place in Dedham, Brabants tells me she’s excited to welcome her fans to this store because she’s doing things a little different.

“I wanted to play up the colors in here,” she says. “And give it a little more playful vibe with some Brazilian accents.” The space, which is twice the size of last year’s at 300 square-feet, gives you instant beach vibes. The walls are printed with palm leaves and there are real palm trees and plants placed throughout. The black and white tiled floor is accented with pink decals and a neon sign reading “Obbbsessed”, a tagline Brabants and her loyal following use to relay their feelings about the leggings. And the outside is wrapped in a colorful vinyl meant to look like a Rio de Janeiro beach.

Brabants says throughout the summer she will launch exclusive clothing at the store, before it hits the website. You will be able to find all the original clothing as well as some new pieces she’s had in the works. Some of the new styles include pocket leggings, new colors, as well as bathing suits. She’s also debuting a pair of leggings not meant for working out in but for going out. “I only wear my leggings,” she says. “So I wanted to create something that other people could easily dress up for a night out.”

Also new, will be a curvy line. Brabants says although the leggings are one-size-fits-most she received feedback that even if they technically still fit, on some bodies they were too tight and uncomfortable. In response, she started testing a curvy line at the Legacy Place pop-up and she says she hasn’t had one return. The leggings fit up to a size 30.

The store doesn’t officially open until Saturday, May 4 but Brabants says she will host a soft opening this Friday from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. She jokes that she has to keep the cardboard up on the windows for now because people continue to come up asking if the store is open yet. “Last year I just couldn’t turn people away and let them come in anyways,” she laughs. Seems pretty typical of the passionate and bubbly entrepreneur.

Also to note at The Current, 2018 Best of Boston winner Parlr is right next door to Booty by Brabants where you can get your make-up and hair done, as well as book photoshoots. And a couple doors down is the local shoe retailer No Bull. The other spots are still being filled. And right outside the shops you’ll be able to catch Brabants and other local fitness instructors at the free outdoor fitness series Seaport Sweat all summer long.

Regular store hours: Monday-Friday 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., bootybybrabants.com.
