It already seems like there’s a gym on every corner in Boston, but the workout scene is ever evolving in this city (as evidenced by the recent merging of Fitcorp and Boston Sports Clubs). As such, fitness enthusiasts looking to shake it up a little bit will have even more options this spring with these three new gyms.

Recycle Studio Boston Common

Recycle, the South End’s beloved (and hip) niche cycling studio, will be getting a Back Bay counterpart March 1st at 9 Newbury St. The studio is known for its upbeat playlists, tough instructors, and innovative cycling classes, many of which also work the arms and core.
Current location is at 643A Tremont St., 617-775-0282; recycle-studio.com

The Sports Club/LA Chestnut Hill

Luxe health club The Sports Club/LA’s new location will be designed in what it calls the “jewel box” concept, which places extra emphasis on cutting-edge technology, carefully planned architecture, and high-end details like a floating fireplace (seriously), salt-infused steam rooms, and digital tracking devices for cardiovascular exercise. The club is slated to open March 11.

Reebok CrossFit Back Bay

CrossFit, the super-intense (and controversial) full-body workout, found a home in the Back Bay. Reebok, which has a partnership with the program, opened a the CrossFit box in late January with the goal of developing a large-group dynamic fitness community. Another Reebok gym also operates in the South End.
